Somebody Get Me

Somebody Get Me
By M.R. ClueUin

I'm not a puzzle, I'm not confused.
Why not get to know me, you got
nothing to lose. I'm not brown sugur
I'm not gonna melt. So just try to understand
try to help.

Sumebody get me
Understand who I am.
I leave clues like there
bread crumbs.
My heart on my sleeve is heart felt.

Sometimes people judge. I do too.
But I kept my mouth shut, act like
I don't have a clue. Because what I feel I don't say.
Nobody gets me anyway.

Somebody get me.
Understand who I am.
I see everything you see.
I just have a wider pan.

Sometimes I think strange thoughts
at night wondering if I'm really alright.
Death, disease, disharmony, sometimes
I think; "Is it just me?". I need a sounding board somebody to trust.

Is that asking much?

Somebody get me.
Somebody understand.
I'm only human on the outside.
People make me feel like a
stranger in a strange land.

Somebody get me.

Deck Me!

I'm writing this poem on the fly so this is my only copy. I sure do hope no one loses this online! (Blogger.Com I'm talking to you!) It's about how I feel about the Holidays. Just me venting. Believe me I love the Holidays I just don't like the pressure, the stress, and the usual holiday madness that happens every year! Oh just....

Deck Me
By MR

Just knock me out
and wake me up
when it's over.
If I see just one more
fucking commercial
I'm gonna scream
I swear!

Decorations are up
and I am down.
What am I to do
about Christmas?
My pockets
are so hel-lo
empty that I
swear the crumbs
inside it are
sneering at me.

Fa, La, La, blah.
Ba humbug!
I just want this crazy
holiday over with.
Pulling out the tinsel
out of my closet
and trying to light
the fire inside me
to have some holiday
cheer is not easy.

So forgive me if
I'm not so much
in the sprite but
I just finished eating
my pumpkin pie
and candy corn.
Just give one shining
golden moment
so I can reflect
on just when the
heck my savior
was really born.

I'm in the sprite
of giving not getting
but I don't have
alot to give just me.
So if you think
I'm being churlish
just...

Deck Me!

Did I mention that I just wrote this on the fly? Yeah so if it sucks you know why.
Happy Holidays ye'all! ;>

I've Seen

I wrote this poem inspired by a walk on the streets at three in the morning. I started thinking about the things I’ve seen in the long years of my life. (Heh, heh, you didn’t think I’d give you clues on exactly how old I was did you?). Some of it didn’t actually happen to me or even in my neighborhood. Some did but they all come together in a gigantic caliscope of memories. Some I have seen on television on the news about things that have happen in or around my area in Brooklyn. Then there are the street people I’ve observed in my neighborhood. There is this store I go to for ‘loosies’, cigarettes I buy and there are some people there who let’s just say their store is a hang out for ‘Charecters’ and just leave it at that. But what I’ve seen that is bad isn’t all bad and what I’ve seen is good but is all subjective. Depends on how you look at things. What have you seen? Do you see hope for change? I do. Enjoy this poem and look for hope. M.A.R

I’ve Seen

(A Poem)

By M R

A Prayer or maybe a Psalm.

Young rouges, Roughnecks, Middle-aged Hustlers.

One after another, sitting at one table.

One dreams, one schemes, one stays on top.

Some are grizzly old bears, some are just fops.

Lower down pants, showing off the muscle, do-rags.

Wife beaters, staying on top.

All are wannabees, never do they last, one down,

One upmanship, having the last laugh.

One sees them all come down the pike, livin’ in

the ‘hood. Think you’ve seen them all, if only

you could.

I’ve seen bell bottom hustlers, guys with ‘fros.

A city on fire, glass Molotov cocktails thrown. All on

T.V, some in front of my eyes, tough guys,

losers, all in my sight.

Guys with knives out, brass knuckles on their fist.

Gold chain wearing guys, you can not miss.

Kangol wearing, cocky motherfuckers. Class

Clown cut ups, cutting all the classes.

Corner store hanging, smoking all the weed,

Forty drinking, sitting on their asses.

Scheming, big dreams, livin’ in the ashes.

Threatening old ladies, some are living scum.

Leaving their old ladies with all the babies.

Baby mama drama, who’s your man?

Protesting Grandma’s, doing what they

can. Going to church expecting the worse.

Bedstuy do or die. Drive by shoot outs.

Young men dying. Cooking the books,

Cooking the crack. Dividing the territory,

lying on their backs. Plotting, planning,

All have come to naught.

Then came nineties, and wasn’t that grand?

Young men came to earth, needing a new

plan. Charities gave a damn, programs came.

Still the hustlers still stayed the same.

City on fire, do you hear our prayers?

Street corner preachers, do you really

Care? One day it will all burn. Can you

Find a plan?

I’ve seen it all and seen it past. Good

Things are coming back to back. A black

man is President. A lie is understood.

Things are changing down in the hood.

I see a city on fire and ashes on the street

with a Phoenix rising in the air screaming

To the beat. Hustlers, wise men, little babies

growing, young men, vibes felt. A city in

the morning.

A new dawn is breaking. Bums have a care!

Roughnecks, Young rouges, bow your head

In prayer. For one day you shall see…..

..A Young Phoenix in the air.

The Calm Before The Storm

The Calm Before The Storm
By M.R

It's the peace before there is war.
It's the quiet before there is noise.
it's the feeling you feel before the shoe
drop, before the bough breaks, before all
the kings horses come.

The calm before the storm.

It's the moment before the sea change
and the mood shifts.
It can be seconds, minutes, or days
before the storm.
One should really strive to enjoy.....

The calm before the storm.

If only my tears I cry were diamonds.

If only my tears I cry were diamonds.
By M.A.R A.K.A MRClueuin

It's useless you know,
to cry. To sob, to go
into hysterics.

Oh, yes it's cathartic.
It calms the nerves.
Gentles the fragile
soul. But for all
and all completely
useless.

I've sobbed, cried, moaned.
Curled up in a ball, lying on my
bed, or soaking in a tub.

Still, totally useless.

It doesn't pay my bills,
get the rent out on time,
it doesn't even stop or
change time.

Oh, if only my tears I cry were
diamonds.
If only they were worth their
weight in gold.
If the price of dying a little inside
was worth the price!
I could pay off my sorrow in millions.

I could cry away worry about tomorrow.
Buy a minute or two of peace and relief.
Make my friends happy and my enemies
Nash their teeth in jealousy.

But I cry my tears and my sorrow is
still holding on with it's teeth.
Like a rabid dog it doesn't know
better. That it's acting like my
worse enemy.

If only my tears I cry were diamonds.

Wow, yeah! Your probably wondering what bought that on. Well my Dad, Charles R.,is dying. Due to some complications with his over all health. He's got Senior Dementia, can't swallow, and now he has pneumonia. This and add up other things that are going on with my life and you can see how hard it is to remain my sharp and chipper self. To all others who don't know what I'm feeling, I wish I could apologize for being such a downer but it's not going to happen, sorry that's just the way I feel right now. Peace.

Screaming With The Mute Button on.

Screaming With The Mute Button On.
By M.A.R A.K.A MRClueuin

I wrote this piece when I was having a feeling of hopelessness during my ongoing job search. There were and are some other ongoing issues going on with my life currently, more about that later, so I just thought it would somehow appropriate that I present this poem here now. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who feels this way. That is why I originally presented this poem to my fellow posters at Indeed.Com a month ago. There are a lot of people with a lot going on right now. Everything from facing foreclosure to finding that job to pay the rent and or mortgage, Utility bills, and Medical bills. This poem is for me and others like me.

What I gain I lose. What I hope for is gone.
When you look at me, you don't see what goes on.

You might think you know, what is the best thing to do but
till you really know you don't have a clue.

I try to keep my head up but failure keeps me down.
I try to stick my chin out but inside it's on the ground.

I try to put in place a face, a look called normalcy but inside I feel like a wreak. No one can feel my misery.

I'm screaming with the Mute button on but it's not on my face.
No one can tell that bad times have put me in my place.

When I was young I thought I had enough to put me on the top.
I'm decades older now, the top I never got.
My rent is due, my job is gone, and if you ever knew, the times I wish it all would stop you'd race to call a doc.

When asked; 'How are you?, I lie and say I'm Fine.
Although in my reality 'FINE' is Freaked out, Insensible, Neurotic, and Emotional.
What can I say, what can I do?
I go on for another day. Though I'm......

Screaming with the Mute Button on.
I'm afraid I'm back to square one.
I start again but oh my friend(s)
I'm afraid the screamings just begun.
